1st Edition of the Robot Scholarship
Yesterday we presented the winner of the Robot Scholarship at an event held at the Rectorship of the Universitat de les Illes Balears. Joan Ramon Darder, a graduate in Industrial Electronic and Automatic Engineering, has been the student selected to pursue the Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering at the UIB, funded entirely by Robot.
Bernat Bonnín, Robot CEO, declared that company and university should be linked, and that should be responsibility of all companies in the islands to help and encourage their students, with the objective to retain talent and avoid having them to leave the Balearic Islands to develop their professional career. The rector of the UIB Dr. Llorenç Huguet, who emphasized Robot’s courage with his entry into the Alternative Stock Market, thanked our constant collaboration with the UIB and the promotion of its students.
For his part, the young Joan Ramon Darder, who has been awarded with a scholarship to study the Master during the 2019-2021 academic year, thanked the company for its support for the development of its formation.
The event was attended by the rector of the University of the Balearic Islands, Dr. Llorenç Huguet, the CEO of Robot, Mr. Bernat Bonnín, the Vice rector of Innovation and Institutional Relations, Dr. Jordi Llabrés and the CFO of Robot, the Mr. Jaume Simonet. In addition, the managing director of the Fundació Universitat Empresa, Mr. Lluís Vegas, the director of the Polytechnic Superior Escort of the UIB, Dr. Lorenza Carrasco, the head of studies of the degree of Industrial Electronic Engineering and Deputy Director of the EPS, Dr. Miquel Jesús Roca and the Robot R&D Manager, Mr. Vicenç Salas.
